FANTASY IMPACT Week 8: Start, Bets, DK Plays and MORE!!!

BACK ROW SHOW BANDITS!!!

Week 8 of the NFL season is here, and we are staring down the barrel of the halfway point of the 2020 fantasy year. Who thought we would get this far? Not me! It seems as if the NFL has got ‘control’ over COVID-19 protocols, and aside from the Raiders this week there were no major hiccups, and there appears to be calm with the schedule that has now settled ahead. But enough about that, what does the upcoming week look like for us:

START/SIT/ADD/DROP/TRADE -

Start: Zach Pascal, on the road to Detroit. The Lions secondary is getting smashed most weeks, and I like him as a solid WR2 for the week.

Sit: Andy Dalton. He is killing you in any and every format. Just stop. Right now. Stop.

Add: Denzel Mims looked to fit in nicely with the Jets and Sam Darnold and I believe having Jamison Crowder back healthy will only help him more. A good stash for sure.

Trade For: It has been a while since Jalen Reagor has played but his return must be closer than not. I would try and get him now, especially with how well Travis Fulgham has done - that could be a way to maybe get him cheaper than normal.

Trade Away: I am talking purely redraft here - but at this point - see what you can get for Ezekiel Elliott. With everything that has happened there I can imagine if their season further gets away from them that they could ice his season before it ends.

LINE AND SPREAD -

(Via our friends at mybookie.ag, of course. Odds taken on Tuesday so expect variance by Sunday)

Take The Overs: Atlanta at Carolina with an O/U of 50. It is going over. Book it!

Take The Unders: On the Patriots at Bills game. Both look extremely shaky of late and I do not trust either right now to do anything.

Hold: The Jets at Kansas somehow has an O/U of 48.5 - I’m not sure how, unless they think Kansas puts up 45 alone in this one. Wait to see which way the needle moves towards the end of the week. Kansas at -19.5 as home favorites says enough though doesn’t it?

Parlay: The Raiders (+2.5 at Cleveland), the Steelers (+4.5 at Baltimore), the Giants (+11 vs Tampa), and the Lions (+2.5 vs the Colts). This gets you to +1204, enjoy!

DFS -

(Via our friends at Draft Kings, but you knew that!)

Value: Cleveland has an OPRK of 25th against running backs and this week Josh Jacobs at $6200 seems like a reasonable and smarter play for $200 more than someone like Alexander Mattison at $6000.

Overpriced: Mark Andrews has been really hit and miss this year and this week he is the third highest price for tight ends at $5800, while coming up against one of the best defenses of the league in Pittsburgh. Pass.

Underpriced: Marquez Valdes-Scantling torched the Vikings in Week 1 with 19.6 points. The Vikings still can’t stop wide receivers and ‘MVS’ is only $3800. Easy play for me.

Contrarian Play: I know they have this aurora of being a run heavy team, but Seattle brings out the best in every Quarterback. Right now, Jimmy Garoppolo is priced at $5400, and I can see him repaying the little outlay in this one.

And there you have it!
